TCCE members-only round-table event. 

The Culture Capital Exchange has held a number of events on the topic of the REF and Impact has over the last number of years, creating a space for our partners to come together to share information, experience, expertise and concerns about the REF and in particular the Impact agenda.

Following conversations with TCCE partners, we are hosting this event to re-commence our conversations about Impact in the run up to the next REF. The focus of this specific roundtable will be to explore the following areas in particular:

• Impacts made by researchers working on or with the creative sectors, how these are currently narrated and presented

• Practice-based research and impact associated with that research

Case studies will be presented from a number of academics whose research was submitted into the last REF with a view to opening up a wider conversation about how different kinds of research are recognised and assessed about whether we may, as a network, wish or need to advocate for the Impact agenda to better recognise and reward more diverse kinds of impacts.

This round-table will be of interest to researchers and those who are leading, managing or supporting REF and Impact activities and who have a specific interest in the themes outlined above. An agenda along with contributors details will be sent to attendees in advance of the event.
