Launch of a major new report on British journalist in the digital age, published by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism and authored by Dr Neil Thurman, Dr Alessio Cornia and Dr Jessica Kunert. The event will include an overview of the report, followed by discussion from an expert panel chaired by Dr Rasmus Kleis Nielsen (Director of Research, Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism).
The report is based on the first major survey of British journalists for several years. It provides up-to-date analysis on diversity in UK journalism and journalists’ working routines and employment conditions. It also reports and examines journalists’ views on their role in society, changes in the profession, influences on their work, and ethics and standards.
