Manuel Zurria displays the many characters of the contemporary flute in this programme. Crane’s reflective work for bass flute and piano complements Donatoni’s filigree ornamentation, while Shlomowitz adds physical actions to the mix. A playful Nancarrow piano solo precedes the highly virtuosic duo by Beat Furrer.
