A series of free poetry readings in Gilbert Scott’s Gothic chapel at King’s, highlighting the power of poetry to connect across boundaries and disciplines. Chaired and introduced by Ruth Padel, Poetry Fellow in the Department of English.

Poetry and the Divided Brain with psychiatrist, doctor and writer Iain MacGilchrist, author of the neuro-science best-seller, The Master and His Emissary,and multi-prize-winning poet Michael Symmons-Roberts, author of Corpus and Drysalter.

10th March
Poetry and Soldiers in partnership with the Arts & Conflict Hub in the Department of War Studies – six returned soldiers, male and female, read poems and discuss why poetry matters in extreme conditions

17th March
Poetry and Film with award-winning director Thaddeus O’Sullivan and prize-winning poet and playwright Glyn Maxwell
