One of the country’s leading cultural theorists, Griselda Pollock is known as a feminist academic and authority on the history of film and visual art. From January 2015, she will join the undergraduate fine art department at Camberwell College of Arts as a Practitioner in Residence for a year.

Director of the Centre for Cultural Analysis, Theory and History (CATH) at Leeds University, she is a scholar of international, postcolonial feminist studies in the visual arts.  Over the coming year, Pollock will play a key role in Camberwell College’s curriculum, collaborating directly with students through lectures, seminars, workshops and studio critiques.

Also speaking on this panel will be Adrian Rifkin and Nina Wakefield.

Adrian Rifkin works with film and cinema, classical and popular music, canonical art and mass imagery, literature and pornography. Until recently he was Professor of Art Writing at Goldsmiths. He completed two exhibitions of the life and works of the composer Cornelius Cardew, together with Grant Watson, at MuHKA, Antwerp and The Drawing Room, and is involved in a range of conferences on art education and radical pedagogy in the UK. Rifkin’s full biography, many of his essays, as well as his blog can be found on his website http://www.gai-savoir.net.

Nina Wakefiled in as artist with a background in sociology.
