The Guildhall School of Music & Drama has recently announced a pioneering new postgraduate programme for students in Performance Teaching which starts in September 2016, subject to validation. This one or two year part-time course, leading to a postgraduate certificate, is designed to support professional musicians, actors, theatre technicians and dancers who teach as part of their role as performers or in undertaking a portfolio career. The programme will develop skills and knowledge in the fundamental principles of pedagogy, dynamics of learning, professional frameworks, teaching and facilitator approaches.
