Experienced industry professionals, working in academia, will discuss the ever-evolving industry and the important issue of copyright holders being paid fairly for the use of their compositions and performances. A topic that has had considerable media attention in the past year, but the full consequences that are rarely explained in detail to those using on-demand services, and unpaid downloads.
The potential outcomes of not upholding the copyrights of composers and performers will be explored and discussed in depth with an opportunity for audience Q & A.
