In a career spanning over 30 years Antony Gormley‘s work has engaged with the relationship of the human body to space. His most celebrated works include The Angel of the North and Event Horizon, a series of 31 lifesize body form sculptures which has been installed around cities worldwide, including London, Rio de Janeiro and New York.
In a new illustrated book, Antony Gormley on Sculpture, he explores his own work but also the western sculptural history and Buddhist traditions that have inspired him, and key influential works by artists including Epstein, Giacometti and Brancusi. Join him in conversation with novelist Will Self at London’s Central Saint Martin’s.
