British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship: New Call for Proposals

The British Academy is inviting applications from established scholars employed in a UK institution, and within fifteen years of the award of their doctorate, to apply for the BA Mid-Career Fellowship scheme.

Applications for the Outline Stage of this scheme must be submitted via the e-GAP system, accessible at https://egap.britac.ac.uk/

Applicants need to register in e-GAP, if not already registered, and find full details by following the link to ‘funding schemes’ from the welcome page. Then click the Mid-Career Fellowships Outline Stage – Outline Round 2015-16 link.

The British Academy intends, through this scheme, to support outstanding individual researchers with excellent research proposals, and to promote public understanding and engagement with humanities and social sciences.

Level of award: Fellowships do not exceed an Academy contribution of £160,000 under the Full Economic Costing regime.

Deadline for submission of applications for the Outline Stage: 16 September 2015 at 5pm (BST)
Results of Outline Stage announced before: 24 December 2015
Earliest start date for the Fellowship to begin: 1 September 2016
