Prof. Lorraine Gamman of the Design Against Crime Research Centre will introduce what creatives and criminals have in common.

Kyra Maya Phillips will talk about her new co-authored book, The Misfit Economy, and the business lessons available from pirates, hackers, gangsters and other informal entrepreneurs.

Prof. Ezio Manzini, UAL’s Chair of Design will be the interlocutor who raises questions about cultures of resilience and resilient and enterprising behaviours.

Prof. Adam Thorpe of the Socially Responsive Design and Innovation Hub will chair the event.
