Repeating a work within a live concert is an established tradition within contemporary classical performance, but the effects on audiences are not well understood. John Sloboda and Andrea Halpern, in collaboration with Richard Benjafield, and Julian Anderson, collected audience data on liking and perceived understanding during two different live performances. In this event, they discuss the findings from both scientific and performer perspectives.
Professor Peter Wiegold chairs this event.
