Doing a doctorate at the Guildhall is an opportunity for those considering doctoral study to come along and learn about the research environment and the potential of practice-based research in a world-leading music and drama conservatoire.

The day will include discussions and workshops around doctoral study, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions about embarking on this stage of a professional journey. The day will also include a workshop session focused on draft research proposals.

Prospective candidates are invited to submit research proposals by 16 February 2015; the workshop will then be used to look at the proposals and give feedback. Information on how to structure a research proposal can be found on the Guildhall School website: gsmd.ac.uk/research
