Martin André conducts the Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra in a programme that unwraps and explores the wonderful soundworld of the orchestra.
Berlioz’s Benvenuto Cellini: Overture opens the concert, followed by one of Bartók’s best known compositions, Music for String, Percussion and Celeste. A new work by Trinity Laban composition student Alexander Bourne-Clark is also featured and Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra – which treats every section in a virtuosic and ‘concerto like’ way – completes the programme.
