Art & Language, screening of Letters to the Jackson Pollock Bar in the Style of The Red Krayola.
This film made by Art & Language in 2014 utilises their strategies of displacement in the production of meaning to create new work. A series of ‘letters’ to M (Mayo Thompson of the Red Krayola) are sung in a ‘jamming’ session to Art & Language via a skype link. Art & Language respond by reading what they think they have heard the Red Krayola sing.
After the screening there will be a discussion between Jo Melvin Reader in Archives and Special Collections and David Dibosa, Course Leader MA Curation and Collection.
