Deborah Levy is a novelist, playwright and poet. Her fiction includes Swimming Home (shortlisted for the 2012 Man Booker Prize), Beautiful Mutants, Swallowing Geography, The Unloved (Penguin) and Billy & Girl (Bloomsbury). Her most recent collection of short stories, Black Vodka, was shortlisted for The Frank O’Connor International short story award and broadcast on Radio 4.

Plays include Heresies and Pushing The Prince into Denmark for The Royal Shakespeare Company. Levy’s plays for the BBC include two of Freud’s case histories, Dora and The Wolfman.

Her acclaimed writing memoir, Things I Don’t Want to Know (Penguin) is a response to George Orwell’s famous 1946 essay Why I Write and her 2014 poetry collection, An Amorous Discourse In The Suburbs of Hell, was published in 2014 by & Other Stories.
