The final Concerts & Colloquia event of 2014 sees renowned violist, composer and Middlesex University doctoral student Garth Knox present his research, Stretching the String: Contemporary Techniques for Violin.

The aim of the research project is to compose original concert studies for violin based on contemporary string techniques. In this presentation, Garth will demonstrate the studio research procedures which give him the basis for these compositions.
