A cabaret evening in the Boilerhouse, featuring Royal Holloway’s chamber ensembles and Sinfonietta, with ‘MC’ Vasileios Filippou, and directed by our new Fellow in Music Performance, Rebecca Miller. Music will include Dowland Lute Songs for guitar and voice, Brahms’s Two Songs with Viola, and prizewinning American composer Pierre Jalbert’s Icefield Sonnets for singers and chamber ensemble. The evening will culminate with a performance of Walton’s Facade: An Entertainment for narrators and ensemble, complete with vintage metallic megaphones.
