Panufnik Sinfonia Sacra (Symphony No. 3)
Prokofiev Concerto No 3 in C major
Lutosławski Concerto for Orchestra
Martin André, internationally renowned conductor, directs the Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra at Cadogan Hall in an evening featuring award winning music and the winning concerto of the 2014 Trinity Laban Soloists’ Competition.
Lutosławski’s Concerto for Orchestra showcases the height of his folkloristic style, and Panufnik’s patriotic symphony pays tribute to Poland’s Christian history.
Following his virtuosic performance at the Soloists’ Competition, Trinity Laban pianist Gen Li takes to the stage with Prokofiev’s Concerto No 3 in C major, a lively, lyrical work and one of the most popular of the composer’s five piano concertos.
