The Good Person of Setzuan is one of Brecht’s parables for the theatre and follows the story of a young prostitute, Shen Te, as she struggles to lead a life that is good. She quickly discovers that her kindness is open to terrible abuse. To protect her interests she is forced to invent an alter ego in the form of her male cousin, Shui Ta. This funny and thought provoking play features original live music performed by the company.
Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
