This year’s Gordon Craig Lecture, in association with the Society for Theatre Research, will be given by international multimedia artist and stage design specialist Jeremy Herbert.
Jeremy’s most recent project was the design for Handel’s Rodelinda for the English National Opera at the London Coliseum, a production which received rave reviews. His previous credits include Hamlet, The Glass Menagerie and Blackta (Young Vic); Betrayal (Comedy); La Traviata (Weiner Festwochen); Paradise, a site-specific performance/installation for the Ruhr Triennale and Parlour Song (Almeida). His work with the Royal Court theatre includes first productions of Sarah Kane’s Cleansed and 4.48 Psychosis (which won Barclays Award for Best Design).
