4th March, 2014
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2014 we will be discussing the changing pace for women in theatre. Join us for an open conversation with guests: Lucy Kerbal (Director of Tonic Theatre and editor of 100 Great Plays for Women), Cheryl Robson (Playwright, Publisher and co-editor of Plays for Today by Women), Emteaz Hussain (Playwright, Sweet Cider, Tamasha Theatre, 2008) and Amanda Stuart Fisher (From The Mouths of Mothers, 2013 and Reader in Contemporary Theatres and Performance at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama). The event will be chaired by Gilli Bush-Bailey, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama’s visiting professor in women’s performance history.
We will also be raising a glass to officially launch the publication of Plays for Today by Women, an anthology of new writing by women, edited by Cheryl Robson and Rebecca Gillieron, published by Aurora Metro Books.
