Bryan Mabee’s (SPIR, QMUL) recently published book, Understanding American Power: The Changing World of US Foreign Policy, provides a wide-ranging assessment of US power in the twenty-first century which covers the broad array of economic, military, political, social and ideational forces that shape America’s global position and role, all set in historical context.
The launch of the book will feature a discussion about the book in relation to present debates about American decline in the international system, featuring the author and distinguished guests Prof. Roland Dannreuther (University of Westminster) and Dr. Toby Dodge (London School of Economics). Followed by a reception.
This event is being sponsored by the Centre for the Study of Global Security and Development.
