Increasing numbers of academics and researchers are organising, publicising and promoting public facing events based on their research, both in and out of the academy. Academic research can provide the basis for a fascinating and popular occasion, but organising an event can be a little daunting, particularly the first time around!
Suzie Leighton and Georgina Potts of The Culture Capital Exchange (both veteran event organisers!) will run this informal and informative session aimed at taking the stress out of organising public events. They will provide a basic checklist that can be applied to either a simple talk or a more complex event or conference and pass on hints and tips learned from their years at the events coal face! We also hope that you will share your own top tips with your peers.
Wine and nibbles will be served!
