Creativeworks London and The National Archives are delighted to present ‘Working with Archives’, a showcasing, information and networking event that aims to provide a space for Creativeworks London partners, archivists, researchers and cultural and creative organisations with archives or archiving needs to come together to explore future collaboration and other areas of mutual benefit.

The main aims of the event will be to:

• Present a range of key initiatives from Creativeworks London’s partners, including The National Archives, The British Library, The V&A, The British Museum, TATE and others.
• Provide an information sharing and networking opportunity for cultural, creative and creative digital sectors with their own archives or with interest in working with archives for research or other purposes.
• Provide an opportunity for archivists to connect with academic expertise and/or  expertise from elsewhere in the creative sector.
• Provide a networking opportunity for Creativeworks London partner academics with interests in archives or archiving  and a potential way to meet research collaborators.
• Outline and explore potential for future collaboration, including Creative works London’s Autumn Creative Vouchers Round the theme of which is ‘Archives’.

Please note that places at this event are strictly limited and we would ask that only people with serious interest in the above topic register. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and registrants will be asked to complete a short “Expression of Interest’ form for circulation at the event. A full agenda and map will be circulated to registrants in advance of the event.

A cancellation fee of £30 will be applied to registrants who fail to attend the event. Registrants who cannot for whatever reason attend are requested to email info@cwlondon.co.uk as far in advance as possible so that other interested parties can attend.

Please also note that Creativeworks London will additionally host an Ideas Pool (7t^h October) and an Application Workshop (7^thNovember) for academics or cultural/creative sector SMEs interested specifically in applying to the Creative Vouchers ‘Archives’ Round. More details on both events will be available online by early September.
