Dr Bertie Ramcharan, Former UN Commissioner
Dr Ramcharan will give a short summary of the human rights vision at the time of the founding of the UN, discuss the challenges of protection ever since, assess where protection efforts are now, and offer some thoughts for the future.
This is the ninth lecture in the series, hosted by Royal Holloway and run in association with the Magna Carta Trust. It is to be delivered annually until 2015, the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta at Runnymede.
All welcome, admission free, followed by a reception in the Windsor Building Foyer.
