Performed by BA (Hons) Acting Collaborative and Devised Theatre students and TRANSPORT.
Rosalind, the daughter of an exiled duke, falls in love with Orlando. Both are banished from the oppressive state by Rosalind’s dictator uncle and they run for their lives into the wild depths of a forest. In that harsh, lyrical wilderness, they discover an unexpected freedom. Imagining the play within the context of contemporary statelessness, TRANSPORT breathe new life into this firm favourite among Shakespeare’s comedies. Following this work with final year Collaborative and Devised Theatre students, TRANSPORT will re-realise the production premiering in Luxembourg this autumn followed by an eight week UK tour.
