In 2011, The Culture Capital Exchange held an event entitled European Funding for Research: What’s Out There? Who’s Getting it and What For?.  This follow-up event took place two years later, to further build on and explore the benefits and opportunities that European Funding can present for academics in the future.

There was a diverse network of attendees inclusive of early/mid‐career academics, PhD supervisors, staff involved in supporting research collaborations and individuals who wished to gain a deeper understanding of the current European funding landscape. Emma Carey from the Arts and Humanities Research Council presented an overview of current and future funding schemes, and case studies were presented from academics who had successfully secured diverse sources of funding from Europe. These presentations were followed by the opportunity for in-depth discussions and networking.

Contributors/Speakers:  Professor Evelyn Welch, Vice‐Principal of Arts and Sciences, King’s College London; Daniel Walker, Head of EU Research Funding Office, King’s College London; Emma Carey, Arts and Humanities Research Council; Professor Peter McOwan, Queen Mary University London; Professor Helen Gilbert, Royal Holloway University London.
