STURTEVANT and SECONDEDITIONS

CHELSEA space presents an exhibition by American, Paris-based artist STURTEVANT and UK-based partnership SECONDEDITIONS:

An exhibition on criminal action, against dominance, in reference to ethics as the considered form that freedom takes when it is informed by reflection, for thought and symmetry between partners in dialogue: symmetry as expression of peaceability.

The result of a correspondence between STURTEVANT and SECONDEDITIONS initiated in 2002, the project follows two strands of thought:

second reflection – the conscious experience of repetition, the continuous process of rethinking the nature of art and

symmetrical contents – the mirrored relationships between material and thought as presented in the work and the discussions of the artists involved.

The exhibition features two 3-channel video installations by STURTEVANT and video works and objects by SECONDEDITIONS.
