Actors from the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing join actors from the Guildhall School and Arts Educational Schools for a workshop production in English of Family, a piece of musical theatre based on the novel by renowned Chinese author Ba Jin. Family chronicles the inter-generational conflict between old ways and progressive aspirations in an upper-class family in Chengdu, a prosperous but provincial city in the Sichuan basin, in the early 1920s.
