For the sixth summer in a row Blackheath Halls presents its popular community opera.
Members of the community perform alongside professionals, local school children, dancers and musicians from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in an exciting and vibrant production of Massenet’s charming and inventive opera Cinderella.
In her round up of 2011’s opera productions around the UK Anna Picard wrote ‘In Blackheath Halls a hyperlocal Eugene Onegin has more spirit and soul than Deborah Warner’s New York-bound ENO co-production’.
