LCACE and Arts Council England are pleased to invite you to

The Launch event for TOOLKIT – A practical guide for work placements in the arts and cultural sector.

TOOLKIT has been commissioned by ACE and developed by LCACE in collaboration with a research team of Professor Mustafa Ozbilgin (University of East Anglia) and Dr Ahu Tatli (Queen Mary, UoL) in consultation with the arts and cultural sector and with the Higher Education sector.

It has been developed to provide a much needed source of guidance and support for:

  • Arts and cultural sector organisations who host or wish to host work placements to students in higher education
  • Universities who endorse work placements as part of formal and informal learning processes
  • Students who wish or are required to undertake work placements in arts or cultural sector organisations as part of their university course.

The event will be chaired by Peter Jenkinson, OBE.

Contributors will include: Sally Taylor (Director, LCACE), Eira Gibson (Youth Programme Manager, Circus Space) Professor Mustafa Ozbilgin (TOOLKIT Research Director and DECERE at University of East Anglia), Ralph Parfect (Programme Manager, Cultural and Creative Industries, King’s College London) and Rebecca Jacobs (Professional Development and Ethics Co-ordinator, Museums Association)

There will be time for networking and drinks after the event. A full agenda will be circulated in the week prior to the event.
