The London Centre for Arts and Cultural Exchange organised an ongoing series of debates entitled Educating The Next Generation in collaboration with their network of partners. The aim of the series was to give students and researchers interested in particular aspects of the cultural industries an opportunity to find out about the contemporary challenges and changes occurring within the sectors. They were also designed to enable networking between Higher Education and the cultural industries. Educating the Next Generation included a collection of debates on Convergent Media, which focussed on whether, new technologies and converging media platforms were changing the nature of arts curation and publishing. It brought together high-profile panels of writers, artists, publishers, curators, intellectual property specialists, academics and arts professionals who discussed the impact of convergent media on creative institutions and industries.
